L’association à but non lucratif des amis du Bhoutan a été crée sous le nom « Padling Choeki Gatshal-Switzerland (Peling) » dans le sens des articles 60 et suivants du Code civil suisse.
Elle a pour buts de contribuer au développement de l’amitié entre la Suisse et le Bhoutan. Ceci sera accompli, en particulier, à travers des activités de soutient des projets de la Fondation Padling Choeki Ga Tshal, siégée au Bhoutan dont le but est de préserver la tradition spirituelle du héros national Pema Lingpa (1450-1521). De même, l’Association servira de forum pour faciliter, entre le Bhoutan et la Suisse, la découverte mutuelle de la vie culturelle, spirituelle et sociale des deux pays.
L’Association fut créée en 2015, selon les aspirations de S.E. Gangten Tulkou Rinpoché, comme branche de la Fondation Padling Choeki Gatshal au Bhoutan dont Rinpoché est le Président. L’Association est ouverte à tous dans le but de faire connaître le pays du Bhoutan, son patrimoine spirituel et culturel et de participer à de hauts-faits réalisés là-bas par des hommes et des femmes exceptionnels dans le cadre de la lignée de Pema Lingpa.
Nos objectifs sont les suivants :
- Aider à la préservation d’un patrimoine culturel, architectural, artistique, historique et spirituel d’une valeur inestimable : restaurations de monuments, temples et monastères parmi les plus anciens du pays, préservation des fresques sur divers supports, comme des peintures sur tankas, des statues et des objets rituels anciens, véritables oeuvres d’art chargées de sens et de symboles.
- L’Association contribue également au développement de l’éducation des jeunes, garçons et plus particulièrement des filles, avec des projets de rénovation et de construction de structures scolaires (écoles) et spirituelles (monastères et couvents). Ces réalisations permettront d’apporter à ces jeunes la possibilité de s’instruire et de s’épanouir. Ils pourront en conséquence choisir une vie laïque ou religieuse et même devenir à leur tour des enseignants et des guides spirituels.
Tous ces projets seront évidemment profitables à bien des niveaux au Bhoutan, ce merveilleux pays himalayen et à son peuple, mais il faut également souligner que le monde entier et tous ses habitants en seront impactés. Lorsque l’art, l’éducation, la bonté et la sagesse resplendissent quelque part sur la terre, c’est la terre entière qui rayonne de cette lumière et chaque individu où qu’il soit en bénéficie.
Enfin, S.E. Gangteng Tulkou Rinpoché est aujourd’hui responsable d’environ 25 monastères et temples au Bhoutan, tous sous la tutelle de la Fondation Padling Choeki Gatshal et comprenant des centaines de moines, nones et lamas dont il doit subvenir à leurs besoins et leur subsistance. C’est lui qui porte sur ses épaules tous ces projets sus-cités et c’est pour nous une joie et un grand honneur que de pouvoir l’accompagner et le soutenir. C’est de diverses manières, conférences, soirées thématiques, concerts, voyages, ventes de bijoux et autres que l’Association compte contribuer.

In 2015, according to the aspirations of H.E. Gangteng Tulku Rinpoche, the Association Padling Choeki Gatshal-Switzerland, was established in Geneva as a part of the Foundation Padling Choeki Gatshal in Bhutan. Rinpoche is the President. The Association is a non-profit purposes organization and was created in order to spread the spiritual and cultural heritage of Bhutan and to support the highest achievements accomplished there by exceptional men and women of the lineage of Pema Lingpa.
Our goals and aspirations are:
To assist in the preservation of cultural, architectural, artistic, historical and spiritual heritage: restoration of monuments, temples, monasteries that are amongst the oldest in the country; preservation of the frescoes on various supports, such as paintings or thankas, statues and ancient ritual objects, all of these are genuine works of art, full of meaning and symbols.
The Association contributes to the education development of the young boys, and especially girls, through its projects for renovation and building of both, secular (schools) and spiritual (monasteries and nunneries) institutions. These achievements will provide the young people with the opportunity to study and to develop. Thus, helping them to prepare so that they may choose a secular or a religious way of life and even to become teachers and spiritual guides.
Obviously, all these projects will be beneficial to its people at many levels in Bhutan, this small wonderful Himalayan country. However, we should point out that the world and its inhabitants will also be benefited. It is the whole world that will radiate when the art, the education, the kindness and the wisdom of Bhutan is shared with others on the earth.
Finally, H.E. Gangteng Tulku Rinpoche is responsible for about 25 monasteries and temples in Bhutan (all of them depending on Padling Choeki Gatshal Foundation), which include hundreds of monks, nuns and lamas that must be supported. It is Rinpoche who carries all of this on his shoulders and all the above-mentioned projects. Therefore, it is a joy and a great honor for us to be able to accompany and to support him through various activities, lectures, thematic evenings, concerts, travel, jewelry sales and others activities in which the Association of Switzerland intends to contribute.
